The Center for Global Health will host "Fostering Health Across the Lifespan: Shared Lessons and Opportunities in Oman and the U.S." a conference sponsored by the Sultan Qaboos Cultural Center (SQCC) on Wednesday, October 26th, 2016

University of Virginia President Teresa Sullivan and Vice Provost for Global Affairs Jeffrey W. Legro will welcome Her Excellency Hunaina Sultan Al Mughairy, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the United States, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Obaid al-Sa'eedi, Minister of Health, Sultanate of Oman, along with leading faculty, researchers, and policy makers from the University of Virginia, Sultan Qaboos University, and the Ministry of Health for panel discussions at the University of Virginia's historic Rotunda. 

Panel topics include:

  1. Holistic interventions for cardiometabolic health
  2. Cancer prevention in rural areas
  3. The role of the built environment on health and wellbeing

The conference is free and open to faculty, staff, students, and community members. Registration preferred
