Magoro Tshifhiwa received his Master's degree at the University of Venda. Currently, he is a doctoral candidate in the GIDRT program working with Professor Young Hanh (UVa) and professor Pascal Bessong (UNIVEN). His research focuses on the connection between Type I interferon and cholesterol metabolism in the context of Hepatitis C virus. Upon return to UNIVEN he will focus on the completion of his Ph.D. program and transfer of skills and knowledge learned during training to colleagues.
