Joshua Edokpayi received his doctorate in Environmental Sciences from the University of Venda in 2016. His interest is in monitoring emerging contaminants in drinking water sources in South Africa. His research focuses on effective strategies to measure the concentrations of pharmaceutical and personal care products (PPCPs) of rivers in the Vhembe District and evaluating the removal efficiency of PPCPs from water treatment plants, waste water treatment plants and waste stabilization ponds in the district.
