International Symposium on Global Health Research in Africa: Inspiration, Innovation, and Implementation

The University of Virginia and the University of Venda are hosting a joint symposium emanating from more than 15 years of research collaboration between the two institutions. The symposium will provide an opportunity for panels and discussions surrounding best practices and lessons learned in global health innovation research in Sub-Saharan Africa. It will also provide important networking opportunities for the development of collaborations and identification of additional professional networks for both faculty and fellows.

Past, current, and future fellows from D43 programs in Africa,  faculty from UVA and UNIVEN, and officials from funding institutions will attend to share research, participate in workshops, discuss upcoming opportunities, and most importantly, to determine next steps for continuing innovative global health research.

The two day symposium will take place at the University of Venda in South Africa March 14-16, 2017.
