Eric Houpt, MD

Professor, Division of Infectious Diseases and International Health

His professional interest is in tuberculosis and diarrheal diseases. He previously trained at Emory and the University of Chicago, and has worked as a physician and researcher in Papua New Guinea and at the Kilimanjaro Medical Centre in Tanzania. Since 2002 he has performed a number of projects on diagnostics for MDR tuberculosis and enteric diseases at field sites in Bangladesh, Tanzania, and Thailand.
