Dr. Richard Guerrant is an internationally-recognized expert on enteric infections. He is the founder and Director of the Center for Global Health at the University of Virginia. He is also the Thomas H. Hunter Professor of International Medicine in the Division of Infectious Diseases and International Health.

Liz is the finance director for the center. She is the primary grants administrator for all research and international grants and is responsible for financial oversight of all center operations. She has additional leadership roles in fundraising and development as well as international site support.

Leah Barrett is the lead manager for all research conducted in the Guerrant lab and with international partners including the Federal University of Ceará in Brazil, the University of Venda in South Africa, the University of the Philippines. She coordinates research conducted under the MAL-ED project which involves eight collaborative sites.

Steve is responsible for fiscal and program oversight and support. He works with CGH leadership to coordinate fiscal, program and logistical operations.

April is the primary administrator for CGH Programs. She supports the Center for Global Health University Scholar Program, the CGH Scholar Award in Medicine and she is the Program Administrator for the Clinton Global Initiative University. She supports CGH International sites, coordinates the CGH student team, COM-COR, and manages Global Health on Grounds, the CGH event series including symposia, visiting speakers and events conducted in collaboration with student groups.

Mary Ann is the Executive Assistant for Drs. Guerrant and Dillingham. She manages the CGH office and is the primary logistics coordinator for CGH and affiliated faculty.

Rebecca Dillingham, MD/MPH is the Director the University of Virginia’s Center for Global Health. Dr. Dillingham’s faculty positions are in the Division of Infectious Disease and International Health and in Public Health Sciences. Dr. Dillingham has led the development of global health training across UVa’s campus as the director of the UVa Framework Program in Global Health which is supported by the Fogarty International Center of the National Institute of Health.
