International experience and particularly, experience centered around global health, is evocative and transformative. The Center for Global Health invites students and faculty to share their photographs and stories which represent the rich possibilities of engagement: global health collaboration, innovations and solutions. CGH will support the 2017 Global Health Photography Contest with a reception on Wednesday, October 25th during Global Week at UVA.
The Theme: One Health. "One Health recognizes that the health of people is connected to the health of animals and the environment. The goal of One Health is to encourage the collaborative efforts of multiple disciplines-working locally, nationally, and globally-to achieve the best health for people, animals, and our environment.(CDC)" For all the students who've traveled the globe this summer, we hope that you see health as a universal value. Please share a few of these moments by submitting your work to the 2017 Global Health Photography Contest.
Who can enter? Any UVa student who has conducted Global Health or Development research or scholarship for UVA within the past year.
