UVa Global Health Case Competition

The next UVa Global Health Case Competition will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2016

The UVa Global Health Case Competition, a student initiative launched in 2013, offers a unique opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students from diverse schools and disciplines to tackle some of the most intransigent, enduring global health issues.

The case, also written by students, requires interdisciplinary approaches that may involve issues as varied as health care policy, infectious disease, public health feasibility and evaluation, public-private partnerships, faith and cultural understanding, and international law to develop innovative solutions for current, critical global health issues. Students will have the chance to develop innovation solutions for these problems as part of a multidisciplinary team of 4-6 students and present recommendation to a panel of judges. In addition to the obvious educational benefits and networking opportunities, students also compete for cash prizes and the chance to compete at the International Global Health Case Competition in Atlanta.
