Liz Rogawski, PhD

WHIL Innovations Postdoctoral Fellow | 2015 - 2016
Carter Harrison Research Building (MR-6)

Liz received her PhD in Epidemiology from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill with a research focus in infectious disease and international health. Her dissertation studied the impact of antibiotic use early in life on childhood diarrheal rates and growth among children in south India. As a WHIL fellow, Liz continued to study antibiotic use, enteropathogen infections, and their effects on child health in 8 low-resource sites in the MAL-ED study. She also implemented a community-based randomized trial to test the effectiveness of two point-of-use water treatment technologies to prevent childhood stunting in Limpopo in collaboration with two other WHIL fellows and faculty at the University of Venda, South Africa.
