Center for Global Health Equity/Dean’s Global Resident Award

The Center for Global Health Equity/Dean’s Global Resident Award is generously supported by the Office of the Associate Dean for International Programs, and is intended to encourage and support residents in all sub-specialties to seek experiences in global health.  Residents interested in international health or research experiences are encouraged to explore our existing or potential collaborations.

Funding for global health rotations may come from different sources depending on your Department.  Residents from Departments without departmental funds will be the primary recipients of the “Dean’s Global Resident Award” and will apply through the Center for Global Health Equity.  These grants will primarily support travel.  Residents from Departments with departmental funding will need to contact their Department administration for travel reimbursement and procedures.

Dean’s Global Resident Award amounts vary by year depending on the number of applicants.  In academic year 2022-2023, the application deadline is November 1, 2022. All awards are contingent upon evolving University policy on travel related to COVID-19. Please review the International Studies Office website for the most current updates.  Reimbursement will only occur upon return from travel and upon submission of receipts for travel-related expenses.
