MUST-UVa Partnership Spotlighted by Local Media

The partnership between Uganda's Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) and the University of Virginia began in 2007. But only in this past year has UVa's Telemedicine further strengthened the ties between the two institutions. A delegation from MUST, including vice chancellor Dr. Frederick Kayanja, are visiting UVa this week to explore the possibilities of this video conferencing technology  to strengthen both the education of students at both schools and the capacity to practice medicine with constituencies in heretofore remote places.

Local media outlets covered meetings on Monday, April 7, between the MUST delegation and UVa faculty and staff.
