Interested in learning more about the Minority Health International Research Training Program and the students' international research projects?

Join us anytime between 1:30-3pm on Friday, August 3, 2018 in the Corner Building at UVA to learn about a wide variety of topics and what it's like living and conducting research in South Africa, Uganda, and St. Kitts and Nevis. 

The scholar symposium will take place in the Vice President for Research (formerly OpenGrounds) space which is located next to the Center for Global Health in the Corner Building on UVA's Historic Corner area. We're located just before the train bridge, next to the old Medical School building and across from the White Spot. 


Research Topics Include

Understanding alcohol risk, sexual risk, and intimate partner violence risk 

Point of use clean water technologies 

Malaria drug resistance 

Determining the prevalence and distribution of type II diabetes in St. Kitts

Heart failure
